    Erichsen made her debut as a model in 2005 at the fall Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Miu Miu shows in Milan and Paris, where she opened for the latter.

    In 2007/08 she was the face of the new Gucci fragrance: "Gucci by Gucci" and the tv spot was directed by David Lynch.

    In 2009 she is the new face of Roberto Cavalli in the spring/summer 2009 adv campaign.

    Erichsen is friends with models Irina Lazareanu and Catherine McNeil. She is also frequently seen with fellow models Lily Donaldson and Agyness Deyn.

    She has 13 tattoos in total, although the 13th is not commonly photographed as it is on her lower stomach, the first of which she got when she was 16. Recently, she has been seen with a left nipple piercing.

    Her favorite musicians are PJ Harvey, and the Danish group Kira and the Kindred Spirits.
