This year is Bara Holotova’s break-out year. After signing with IMG in 2007, the Czech model spent the next few seasons struggling to catch on with casting directors. Though she booked the December 2007 cover of French Jalouse alongside jewelry designer Waris Ahluwalia and modeled for Roberto Cavalli'sClass fall ad campaign in 2008, her résumé remained spotty. That was until the 18-year-old received Miuccia Prada's blessing. The designer placed the pouty brunette on exclusive for the fall 2009 Prada and Miu Miu shows. As a result, she popped up in the pages of Dazed & Confused's April issue, and worked with Claudia Knoepfel and Stefan Indlekofer and Craig McDean for W magazine's June issue. Whatever's up next for her, you can bet it will be major.
